Egg Hunt

When Hannah woke up on Easter morning, she did a very quick egg hunt to find all of the hard-boiled eggs that she'd colored earlier in the week (because Mommy needed them to make deviled eggs!).  Every other morning, she is up at 7am....but today, she slept in!  Of course.  Murphy's Law.  So, here is our sleepy girl being encouraged to find her eggs (so we can get her dressed for church!)...well, after she inspects the candy in her basket.

Funny, this is the same look Jon gives me when I take his picture!

After church, we hosted a brunch/lunch for 19 people at our house.  It was raining - BLAH - so we had to have our egg hunt for the little kids in the house.  That stunk...especially since we had tables or food set up in 3 of the rooms downstairs, so we couldn't really spread out that much.  But, since the kids were all 4 and under, it was okay.  They seemed to enjoy it.

Hosting a big meal wasn't as daunting as you might think....primarily because my parents helped out a bunch.  The night before the meal we made or assembled all of the side dishes, so all we had to do was pop them in the oven the morning of.  My dad made the rolls in the morning while we were at church (and got everything put in the oven for me), and both of my parents helped with the assembly the night before.  Thank goodness, especically since Lauren was in a "I must be held and only my Mommy will do" kind of a mood.  I'm not sure how it would have gotten done without help!  But, when everyone left, it was nice to kick up our heels and relax on the couch.
Clearly, Easter wore out Lauren!

One more day for me to recover....and get stuff done, and then I go back to work on Tuesday!
