15 Months Old

My little girl is already 15 months old. My how time has flown! Hannah had her check-up and she is doing quite well -- practically no signs of being a preemie. She's just a tad over 19 lbs, so she is still stuck riding backwards in her car seat, and she's still hanging out at that 3rd percentile, but she is doing great. The doctor said she isn't sure if her size is related to her being premature or just genetics, but our doctor isn't concerned as long as she eats well.

Hannah wakes up in the morning asking for "dog" and goes to bed at night asking for "dog." She really loves Abby. Hannah is a mover and a shaker and is constantly in motion. She is so much fun, but is certainly a lot of work -- she's a climber and is super active. Of course, that is probably another reason that she is so skinny -- she doesn't stop moving. She is a good eater and is willing to try new food (although that doesn't mean she actually swallows the new food; she'll lick it and taste it, but if she's not interested, she spits it back out or feeds it to Abby).

She loves to see how things work and is constantly exploring everything around her....from learning how to work the remote control (mimicking Daddy?), to turning pages in books and magazines, to opening and closing doors and drawers and pulling things out, she is wanting to know how everything works. It is so much fun to watch her learn.

Zoo Trip!

I took Hannah to the zoo for the first time today. We got our family membership a few weeks ago and I'd been itching to go. Of course, Hannah has actually been to the zoo before without me (Grandma & Grandpa, Aunt Danila, and some cousins took her on her first trip while Jon & I got some time away together). Aunt Rachel & Gavin came with us, as did Sheri & Jacob. We all piled into Sheri's giant SUV -- 3 carseats do fit in the 2nd row! I was in the back, with 3 strollers piled up beside me! Since we live so close, it's nice to be able to go up for just a few hours instead of trying to spend an entire day. It's so much fun to watch Hannah be interested in everything going on around her - it's so amazing to watch her growing up.
Hannah - on the way - Yes, my 15-month old still has to sit facing backwards...she's not yet 20 pounds!

Jacob is 9 months old and going on 30 pounds, but he still has to sit backwards since he's not a year yet... I got to sit behind the kids and make funny faces at them during the short drive to the zoo.

Hannah enjoys a few snacks at the aquarium

Hannah & Jacob take in the sights

Hannah was more into snacks than the manatee

Gavin slept a lot, but when he woke up he was ready to eat!
At 4 1/2 months, he's getting to be a big boy!

How appropriate -- my little monkey climbing on the gorilla!

Easter Dinner #2

Our second Easter Dinner was on Easter Sunday, after church with Josh & Danila. As usual, Danila made us a yummy meal.....but we only took pictures of Hannah enjoying the dessert.

We also decided that we needed to get some pictures taken since everyone was all dressed up in their Easter finest! I think we got some really good ones!
Hannah & Daddy

Now why doesn't she cooperate for Mommy???

Family Pictures
She loves her Mommy -- and is quite the hugger!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, celebrating the resurrection of our Savior! He Lives. Amen.

Easter

The Easter Bunny had to make a stop at Uncle Josh & Aunt Danila's house on Easter Sunday.... Daddy was upset that Hannah didn't get any candy this year, since last year for some reason she got a lot. This year, Hannah got a swimsuit, a bunny, some bubbles, a book, some crayons, and yogurt bites. She LOVES yogurt bites, as you'll notice from the pictures....

Yummy....
And.....once she was all dressed for church we had to take lots of pictures of Hannah in her Easter dress (bought at a neighborhood sale at our community recreation center for $4 - I'm proud of that shopping excursion).

She is never far from that yellow bag!
How many yogurt bites do you think she gets in a handful?

Easter Dinner #1

My side of the family had Easter dinner on Saturday, the day before Easter, in Pennsylvania. Susan (my cousin) & her husband Gary hosted -- she lives just about 1/2 way between Karen (in VA) & me (in OH), so it works well. They put on quite the spread! We also celebrated all of the "spring" birthdays in the family (Brian, Karen, Michael, Daniel, Susan & Gary) -- pretty much everyone except Jon & me! Plus, this year Brian, Karen & Susan all turned 30!!! Welcome to the club : )

Here are some of the pictures that my mom took.... Enjoy! Liam feeds his new bunny with a shovel
Liam & Hannah are itching to go outside

We took a group picture, but it's on Susan's camera,
so a shot of almost everyone lounging will have to do for now...

Susan is having a baby in June!!!
She's not going to be happy at me posting the picture,
but it's the only one I've got & you can almost see her cute belly!
Great Grandma Catney
After a serious heart attack after Christmas and long hospital stay,
she's living with Aunt Patty & Uncle John.
Now she is on oxygen & doing quite well.
We're so lucky to have her around &
for her to get to enjoy her great grandbabies!
Hannah & Liam are playing on the treadmill???
They look so happy!
What great smiles.
Hannah was obsessed with climbing into Liam's chair and putting the tray on her lap. She has her own chair, but apparently it's not as much fun as Liam's.

And...here are Karen's pictures from Easter....in case you want to see more!

Chocolate Cake

There's no doubt about it -- just like her Great Grandma Catney -- my kid loves her chocolate cake! This started off as my piece, but these days I can't eat anything without her grabbing for it and taking a bite (or in this case, picking up the entire piece and trying to show the WHOLE THING in her mouth at once -- I guess she learned that from Daddy).

Liam!

We got to see our nephew, Liam, for the first time since Thanksgiving over Easter weekend when we went to Pennsylvania. I didn't take many pictures because I was having to much fun playing and visiting, but my mom and sister took plenty, so I'll do another post with their pictures! Liam was excited to see Hannah and gave her a big hug!
He's just getting so BIG. He's walking (actually running) everywhere and is so much fun. I love getting to see him and Hannah play together. Although he's got a few pounds on her, they're actually about the same height.

Piano

Aunt Danila is teaching Hannah how to "play" the piano -- we had no idea how much Hannah would enjoy "playing" it. Hannah had a great time banging on the keys and jabbering away. Of course, now I am scouring craigslist to try to find a small upright for our house so we don't have to go to Pittsburgh just to play the piano!

Aunt Danila is such a good teacher - look at her proper wrist posture!
Hannah "singing"
Umm...no, you don't play with your foot honey.
I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!!!!
This one is pretty good too!
