Bedtime Fun

Hannah enjoys playing with Daddy's Ipad!
(it is seriously amazing at how she is able to play all sorts of preschool games on this thing)
Lauren loves crawling after the camera!
I kept trying to get a picture of her climbing on Jon & Hannah while they were playing with the Ipad, but every time I went to that side of the bed, Lauren tried to crawl after the camera!
This girl's bangs need cut.
Cute baby

Happy Birthday Daddy!

My mom & dad played chauffeur for Hannah's recent trip to Pittsburgh and brought her back to us so we didn't have to do the running around.  When they showed up, Hannah got a cake for her Daddy to celebrate his upcoming birthday on Tuesday.  She was so excited to carry in the cake to Jon....she was asleep in the car and when I went out to carry her in, her eyes popped open and she said "I've got an Angry Birds cake for Dad!"  It was hilarious.  Jon had showed Hannah Angry Birds last week when my Mom stayed with us while our babysitter was out of town and Jon spent the whole time playing on Mom's iPad.

Hannah helps Jon open her present
My mom is a big fan of giant boxes full of random presents.....like this camouflage hat with lights on the bill.  Jon will now not come home from fishing when it is dark out b/c his hat will have built-in lights!
However, Mom did have one very big and nice surprise in the bottom of the box...and Ipad for Jon.  He was SUPER EXCITED.
Jon was very excited.

My present to him is going out to dinner next weekend, followed by a book reading of an author he really likes, David Sedaris.  It's much easier for me to do something with him than buy him a present because he always says there isn't anything he needs!

Visiting Pittsburgh

A few months ago as Hannah was returning from a week at Grandma house she stated, "So now Aunt D, we're going to need to schedule my weekend at your house!" That's exactly what we did. (That child has a mind of her own.)

Enjoy the pictures!

11 Months Old!

Last week Lauren turned 11 months old.  This first year is going so very fast.  This weekend, while Hannah is in Pittsburgh with her aunt and uncle, Lauren certainly is enjoying being an "only child"!  She has the full attention of both Mommy & Daddy.  Our house is so quiet without Hannah, even if Lauren is babbling and playing.

Lauren is cruising around the furniture and moving chairs around in the kitchen -- she'll be walking in no time!  She absolutely LOVES Abby, and Abby loves her (especially when she is in the highchair with food).  Lauren does this screech to get our attention & we're working with her on using some words and/or signs instead of the screech.  She's starting to say "mama" when she wants me instead of screaming at me, and she acknowledges "all done" and "more" at the table (although usually by laughing at me and not by doing the sign herself).  Lauren loves to eat and if you don't keep the food coming fast enough, you hear about it! She only wants to feed herself and isn't too keen on being helped.  She is starting to use a spoon (although it is pretty messy) but she mostly eats with her hands -- we've finally gotten to the place where the plate (usually) stays on the highchair.  Lauren stopped taking a bottle almost 2 months ago and is a sippy girl, but she thinks she's 3 years old and wants to use a real cup too!  She learns so much from Hannah!

Enjoy some pictures!

Playing Outside

Sweet Sisters

Lauren loves to be outside and isn't shy about crawling around on the grass.
