Our Little Monkey

I've mentioned before that Hannah is a little climber....well Jon and I are only starting to understand what her capabilities are.

Today at work I got a phone call from Jon telling me that Hannah had pushed a kitchen chair over to the baby gate (nothing new), climbed onto the chair (a recent trick), and then climbed over the baby gate by lowering herself down to the other side (WHAT?!). Jon discovered her in the laundry room with a handful of dog food from Abby's food bin (which Hannah had also opened). Wow. You can't really baby-proof for these aerobatics!

Later that night when I got home from work, I went into the family room to get something before clearing the table after dinner...Jon had warned me that Hannah had climbed ONTO the table when he turned his back on her while preparing dinner....but I was out of the room a little too long.

Apparently, the cross bars on the bottom of the chairs provide the little extra lift that Hannah needs to get her little legs up onto the chair. Then, our strong little determined girl pulls herself up and off she goes. What a kid we've got....and she thinks it's so funny to climb on tables and chairs!

Uncle Josh's Big Day

Uncle Josh & Aunt Danila came for a visit this weekend and the boys decided to go fishing at our friend Ben's pond.

Josh usually doesn't have much luck when he's fishing with Jon. Actually, he almost never catches any fish when they're together. However, today was Josh's lucky day. He caught a lot of fish -- including one really HUGE one. If you don't believe me...they took pictures.

Thumb Sucker

Our babysitter was sick today and wasn't able to watch Hannah.... Fortunately, Aunt Rachel and cousin Gavin came over to save the day. Rachel watched Hannah so I could hole up in the office and work during Hannah's very active morning playtime. Rachel left after lunch when I put Hannah down for her nap, but the three hours she was here was a huge help. I was able to get a full day's work done from home!

Gavin wasn't much help watching Hannah. He just wanted to swing and suck his thumb. What a cutie!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Sheri and I took Hannah and Jacob to their first parade today.... The Dublin St. Patrick's Day Parade. It was so much fun. There were TONS of people at the parade. It was actually really long, so we didn't stay until the end because the kids where exhausted from all of the excitement. Here are a few pictures of the parade - big balloons, people on stilts, and old-fashioned firetruck, and bagpipes.

We left the parade with two tired kids. Hannah managed to play with Abby a little bit (and show off her "wearing of the green") but was quickly down for a LONG afternoon nap.

Playtime!

Hannah is so playful. She'll play by herself and just jabber away, having a great time.

Of course, she's not always playing by herself. Abby frequently likes to be in on the fun.
