Hiking - Rainbow Falls
Our second big hiking adventure was a 2.6 mile hike to see a waterfall. When we got up there we learned that TN is having a bit of a drought, so the falls weren't as big as they usually are. They were still pretty and we had a nice hike. This time, despite a "paved" path, I didn't bring the stroller -- I put Hannah in our Baby Bjorn and carried her...much easier....especially since the patch was quite narrow, broken up, steep, and not really smooth. Hannah slept the whole way up, but was wide awake and alert on the way back down looking at all of the trees and people.

Hiking - Clingman's Dome
We vacationed with the entire Woolley Family in Gatlinburg, Tennessee last week. We rented a cabin in the mountains and had a great time hanging out with our extended family. We spent some time hiking, took a tour of the mountains on a nice windy, narrow road (we even saw a black bear!), the boys got to try their hand at fly-fishing for wild trout, saw a horseback riding show, ate some pancakes (it is the south, after all), and Hannah got to explore like never before.

Hannah takes in the sights with Mom and Aunt Danila (and provides a yawn to let us know that she's done with the moutains for the day) while Daddy & Uncle Josh hang out.
On our first adventure we took a paved path up to the top of Clingman's Dome -- despite being paved it was quite a hike. Only a mile, but up a pretty steep hill (pushing a stroller!). We got our exercise, that's for sure. It was a little chilly at the top, so we bundled up Hannah and I carried her for a bit. She loved looking around at everything, but she was certainly tired at the end of the day.

The Hannah Roadshow
In my job as a corporate lawyer the term "roadshow" brings to mind securities laws, and CEO's and CFO's giving presentations...but in my job as a mom, the term "roadshow" is A LOT of time in the car showing off your kid to all kinds of relatives. Our trip to DC last week to visit Aunt Karen and Uncle Brian involved a few stops along the way to see various other family members. Here are just a few of those family members that we had a chance to visit.
"Aunt" Susan
Great-Great Aunt Eleanor and Great-Great Uncle Ray
Great Aunt Patty
Cousin Michael
Great Grandma Catney
Aunt Karen & Cousin Liam
Daddy and "cousin" Bogart
Not Pictured: Uncle Brian, Great Uncle John, Liam's Aunt Dana, Liam's Uncle Chris, Liam's Pop-Pop (Brian's step-dad), Liam's Cousins Madison & Cameron, and Gary and Gloria Kowall.
