At the Lake

We got back last night from a family vacation in Michigan with our friends the Lichtensteigers. Curtis & Sheri have a 1-year old, and with our little busy Hannah, we quickly discovered that vacations with kids aren't as much of a vacation as our old vacations used to be. Last year we vacationed with Jon's family, so there were 6 other people (including grandparents!) who were always willing to grab her up and help out. On this vacation, Sheri and I kept each other company at 6am when the kids got up.... We took morning walks in the stroller, watched the kids play in the sandbox, took a few boat rides, and then the adults read books and relaxed during nap time!
This is the position Jon assumed most of the time we were in Michigan...but unfortunately the fish weren't biting like they have in the past. He caught one.
The one.
Since the kids weren't old enough to tube on the water, Curtis drug them around on land. Jacob loved it -- Hannah wasn't quite as excited about it (to put it mildly).
