Those Woolley Boys

My friend Merritt's husband (Daniel) offered to take Jon and Josh fishing when they were in WV the next time. Jon was so excited after the offer that he called Josh within minutes. So, the boys were pretty excited to go fishing on Saturday. The idea was that they could go fishing after dinner - which was scheduled for 4pm. However, the boys disappeared in the afternoon before dinner to catch their bait to go catfishing later in the evening. They started out in the creek in front of the house, but before long were going "to the end of the road"....which led to who knows where.

About 6:30pm the boys left to meet Daniel in at the boat docks. Danila stayed behind and told me that she hoped to leave no later than 10pm. FAMOUS LAST WORDS. When my mom went to bed just before 10pm she gave Danila a hug "in case I don't see you tomorrow" to which Danila replied "you'd better not".....Well......Apparently Daniel had a lantern for the boat so they could fish in the dark. At 11:45pm the phone rang and it was Jon telling me that he'd caught a giant catfish - the size of his arm......and when I asked him where he was an he replied "on the river" I knew we might as well go to bed. I found some clothes for Danila (since they weren't planning on spending the night) and we went to bed. We found out in the morning that the boys left the river at 1:30am. They'd fished for bass for a while and then moved on to catfish. They were trying to stay long enough for Josh to catch a fish, but unfortunately he was the only one to not get a catfish.
