Fingerpainting with Jake

While Jake was over to play, we decided to fingerpaint, since he'd never done it before. Jon and Curtis thought Sheri and I were crazy for getting out such a messy activity, but the kids LOVED IT. I took a lot more pictures of Jake fingerpainting than I did Hannah - he was having such a blast (and was much messier than she was) - plus his chubby little tummy is cute to photograph and he cheeses for the camera!

Jake made 3 lovely pictures that Grandpa Phipps now has hanging in his office.
Jake has a sponge in his hand - I've never seen a sponge hold as much paint as Jake had on it!

The kids were both so messy that we got them cleaned up and then decided to just throw them in the bath together. They had so much fun in the bath -- they splashed each other (and me) and played with the bath toys -- they were laughing and squealing with delight. Every night since then when we go to take a bath Hannah asks "Jake bath too"....I guess I'm going to have to eventually explain to her that she can't always take a bath with Jake!
