Lisa's Notes

I get notes home from Lisa every day that tell me about Hannah's day -- what she ate, her latest tricks & antics, what she's doing during playtime, where they want during the day, her napping schedule, etc. I love getting a glimpse into Hannah's day. To help with the baby scrapbook that I will start at some point, I've saved all of Lisa's notes to me.....Some are pretty mundane, but there are some little gems that are nice to have written down. Some examples of things Lisa has told me about (pretty much in reverse order, since that is how I had them stored):

• Lisa let Hannah shake a box of rice a roni while riding in the cart in the grocery store and Hannah somehow managed to chew off the corner
• Hannah tried to turn the knobs on the stove, lock the garage door, pull the tablecloth off the table, answer the phone & hide car keys -- all in one day
• The kids scream and run and yell "Baby Monster, run!" and Hannah goes after them cackling the whole way
• We had a "no throwing food on the floor" lesson today at lunchtime
• Brandon wanted to feed Hannah at lunch and played "choo choo train" with her and told her to "open up the station, baby"
• Hannah likes to re-arrange the kitchen furniture; would have been fabulous if we never need in the refrigerator or cupboards again
• Baby gate shaking is not a safe sport, Hannah
• Naptime - surrender the batteries, Hannah
• Is it just my imagination or are Hannah's thighs starting to bulk up?!
• The high chair became the throne of society when our little "butterfly" greeted all 3 shifts of breakfast with "look at me" tactics and numerous games of "peek-a-boo"
• We had to build a furniture barricade around the Christmas tree - she went right for it this morning
• Hannah explored all of her beloved household items (i.e., cabinets, rugs, magazines, chairs, houseplants)
• Chocolate brown outfit, chocolate brown changing pad, chocolate brown poo in the diaper...not a good combination....in the end Hannah changed outfits, Lisa changed jeans, and Hannah went through 2 diapers in the process - who thought it was a good idea to make a chocolate browning changing pad?
• We talked about how polite baby girls don't raspberry their food and chew with their mouths closed
• Hannah was awake and mad 35 minutes into nap time...Lisa made a mash dash upstairs to find our littlest Woolley standing, in her pack-n-play with her fists clenched tight to the top of the rail. Did she sleep at all?? or did it take her 35 minutes to accomplish this??
• Every time she got stuck in the "up" position she cried. She had a very short fuse today
• All about clapping today
• No chewing on shoes, Hannah
• She wants long golden hair like her friend, Emma - she's trying to pull Emma's out
• Crawling time - she is getting into everything and gets mad as a hornet if you remove her from something interesting
• Hannah showed us her sharp little squirrel teeth
• Bye, bye to my big friends (off to school)
• I love watching my little friends try to make me laugh
• I'm ticklish on my feet

Wow....as I've been typing this I've been on a little trip down memory lane. It is amazing at how much Hannah has grown up and changed and developed into her own little person this past school year.
